Matte Painting
The Matte Painting eBook is a 39-page guide showing you, over 5 parts, the basics of Matte Painting, whilst also giving some more advanced techniques in the final chapter. We asked industry professional, Tiberius Viris to take an interesting photograph and to create an easy-to-follow set of tutorials about how to add varying conditions to this – or any other – scene. This eBook is aimed at beginners, as well as those who already have some experience with matte painting – advanced knowledge of Photoshop is required in both cases. If you are not familiar with adjustment layers, layer masks or channels (RGB), you should read about these topics prior to starting this tutorial. In the third chapter, Tiberius uses techniques from the first two chapters and shows you how to transform the base image into a stormy scene.

Chapter 4 - Fire & Smoke
In the forth chapter, Tiberius adds a pyro effect to the base image and shows you how to create fire and smoke. Though not a common matte pating element this chapter is based with an illustrative approach.

Chapter 5 - Tips & Tricks
Having shown us techniques to get us hooked on matte painting, the final chapter in this eBook, Tiberius shows us the theory and fundamentals behind matte painting and shows us what it really stands for.
